All the Cool Girls Get Fired

Thursday, March 19, 2026
5:30 PM - 6:30 PM PST

What to Expect

Fired? Laid off? Want to come back stronger than ever?

If your answer is YES, join us virtually with two bold women who were relieved of their jobs from In Style Magazine and WSJ magazine – authors Laura Brown and Kristina O’Neill.  We will discuss All the Cool Girls Get Fired, bold and funny - this is the ultimate comeback guide. What started as a moment of shock, anger and uncertainty became a movement: an indispensable user’s manual that’s full of practical information, as well as inspiring advice and personal stories from notable women who have lost their jobs. The authors will join us on Zoom so you can ask them questions directly.

All the Cool Girl's Get Fired helps readers navigate the unmooring process of finding yourself unemployed, untangling your identity with your work, and the “watch out world” mindset you need for your next job.

Many places have been hit particularly hard with layoffs, and with this event, we want to create space for anyone affected (cool girls and guys!) to share their stories and reap in the well earned wisdom of the authors.

Hosted by RevelEleven founder Joanie Parsons, whose own PR firm was born after a layoff became the unexpected spark to start over, and Rachel Hart, former editor of Seattle magazine and “cool girl” a couple of times over since leaving that post, the evening will feature a 50-minute virtual discussion with the authors followed by a Q & A session.
