Reveling in the Magic of Summer

The warm morning air, the hum of bees swirling around the beautyberry just outside my window, the scent of lilies, roses + more, the miracle of one tiny seed becoming a table full of summer vegetables—it’s hard not to be in awe.

This is my joy. This is my happiness. This is my summer.

But as summer stretches on, what else might we add to our days that delights and inspires? I asked a few friends to share what would enchant them over the next 77 days until the fall equinox:

Natalie – Embrace Adventure
“I want to challenge myself physically and I want to meet new girlfriends to do adventures with. I just moved to Seattle and signed up for a women’s climbing club. Get this—I’m going to summit Mount Baker here in Washington at 10,781 feet. Wow.”

Molly – Find Joy on the Water
“A lover of the water, I grew up on it. These days, I love being out on my paddleboard—not to exercise, but to simply float. To be still and part of it all. I love that.”

Kendra – Get Back Into Playing Tennis
“I want to get back into tennis. I used to play when I was younger and recently played again and forgot how much I enjoyed it. With the warmer days, this summer is the perfect time for me to pick up the racket with some friends while enjoying the sunshine.”

Ruth – Create Summer Rituals
“I’m drawn to creating rituals this season - morning walks with intention, play time in my flower garden and enjoying picnics in my backyard . It’s about weaving meaning into the everyday.”

Maghara: Learning Something New

“This summer, I want to make time for learning new things - things I've wanted to explore but never had the time for. My partner and I are excited to learn about French wine in prep for our wedding. I also want to learn how to cook something new."

And for me? Here are a few simple things I’m carrying into the heart of this season:

Giving Bouquets Away: One of my great joys is sharing beauty. I’ve planted a small cutting garden and love crafting hand-tied bouquets—little bursts of color and scent to brighten someone’s home.

Celebrate the Full Moon: Each month, we set out a glass of water under the full moon’s glow. In the morning, we drink it in—intention-infused and full of possibility.

Dance Under the Moonlight: My goal for this month—move, swirl, release, rejoice. Just me, the music, and the moon.

Backyard Picnic: A few close friends, a table set in the grass, fresh garden veggies and locally caught fish. Laughter, candles, and lingering into the night.

What about you?

What will you say yes to this summer? What will enchant you?
