30-Minute Check Up for your Career

If you are either an essential worker, working from home or have been furloughed, your work has most likely changed. And during times of change, it often causes us to reflect and think about things. Things we like and don’t like about our current jobs. What we need and don’t need in the kind of work we want to do. What we want and don’t want from co-workers, managers and a company. We thought we’d offer a quick chat with someone who spent time helping people through change management in their careers.

Wendy Norman will offer a step-by-step guide on a few things you could be doing while you have a little extra time on your hands to invest in your career and grow your hard and soft skills. She’ll also share her advice about having a “Personal Board of Directors”, and how having one can be the difference between epic success or epic fail.

Wendy Norman spent 25 years at Microsoft in Public Relations, Marketing, and Product Management. Through much of her career she was a formal mentor, helping people identify areas of needed career growth and development. As a Chief of Staff for Microsoft’s Head of Communications, she also served as a talent manager for 5 years, identifying and cultivating talent to fulfill roles where a balance of specific hard and soft skills were required. Today, Wendy is working as an advocate for End of Life Washington and continues her career mentoring and consulting.
