Aging Parents: What You Need to Know

Supporting an aging parent can bring up many emotions besides pride… guilt, frustration, exhaustion, and a sense of loss. As a daughter or son, it can be hard to juggle relationships, parenting and a career in order to assist our aging parents. In this session, we’ll have a heart-to-heart conversation about being a family caregiver.

Psychologist Dr. Jane Tornatore and founder of Aging Wisdom, Lisa Mayfield, will provide tips and tools that you can use as you navigate this next chapter of your life, and your parents' lives. They’ll answer questions you might have about accessing help for your parent, discussing ways to approach parents who might be reluctant to accept help, and figuring out how to take care of yourself without feeling selfish.
