Kitchen Gardening School with Willi Galloway (Virtual)

Want to learn more about garden to table cooking? Willi Galloway, author of Grow Cook Eat: A Food-Lover’s Guide to Vegetable Gardening, will cover the basics of creating an organic kitchen garden, including sharing her favorite delicious, unusual varieties, harvesting tips and recipes that use unusual parts of the plant (think radish blossoms and green coriander seeds).

You’ll learn about the easiest edibles to grow, ideas for harvesting your own salads in a matter of weeks, and tips on getting tomatoes to ripen even if you live in a cooler climate.

Bring your garden questions for a live Q&A!

About Willi: Willi is the author of Grow Cook Eat: A Food-Lover’s Guide to Vegetable Gardening. She got her start gardening with her mom as a child and went on to become the West Coast Editor of Organic Gardening magazine, where she had the vegetable gardening beat. Her (totally awesome) job was to scout gardens, interview horticulture experts and grow a lot of food in her backyard. Along the way she learned that you can eat radish pods, kale flowers attract tons of beneficial insects, and that her dog liked to pick cucumbers. She is a mom, small-business owner, and an avid home gardener based in Portland, Oregon.
