Why don't we plan for end of life? No one wants to talk about it -- but Wendy Norman will guide us through those difficult conversations. As a continuation from our event around end-of-life planning, this workshop will provide an opportunity for you to start or review your own advanced directives, as well as the ability to have questions answered as you go. Topics will include:
Specifics about filling out advance directives
Healthcare Provider and hospital restrictions and considerations
Choosing a Health Care Agent, Death with Dignity, Voluntary Stopping Eating and Drinking
Any other concerns about end-of-life planning!
The goal of the workshop will be to clarify areas of confusion or guide you in the right direction to be able to complete your end-of-life planning for you or your loved ones.
This 90-minute workshop will be offered on 3/30, 4/6 and 4/13, and is $25 to sign up. We're limiting each session to 12 people, so please be sure you can attend before taking a spot!
About Wendy: Through her own personal experience with friends and family that did not receive adequate and holistic options to have autonomy over their death, Wendy Norman has become an advocate for broader education and awareness around end-of-life choice. Wendy has spent the past two years with End of Life Washington to develop and launch an awareness campaign called End of Life Ready. The campaign offers free education about end-of-life choice and how to plan ahead to achieve autonomy over one's death. Prior to volunteering her time around end-of-life issues, Wendy was a marketing manager and program lead at Microsoft.
