The Practice of Forest Bathing with Dr. Adriana Copeland

Are you feeling isolated? Lonely? Restless?

Have you heard about the practice of Forest Bathing? We welcome your curiosity and invite you to join us and Dr. Adriana Copeland to learn more about this Japanese restorative practice called Shinrin-Yoku, which translates into English as Forest Bathing.

This healing nature practice is about slowing down the constant acts of “doing” in our lives and fully immersing ourselves in nature to indulge in just “being.” By honoring our relationship with the natural world, we come to understand that this interconnectedness not only restores our own health, but also improves the well being of the planet.

Forest Bathing has been scientifically proven to boost our immune system, reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and improve cognitive function among multiple other health benefits.

About Dr. Adriana Copeland: Dr. Adriana Copeland has a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP).  Interested to further understand the workings of the brain, body, and the developing mind she also trained as an Interpersonal Neurobiology therapist.  She is a Certified Mindfulness Teacher by the UCLA Mindfulness Research Center and Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. Dr. Copeland was born and raised on a ranch in the pampas of Argentina and her interconnectedness with the natural world has been her lifelong support and established the roots for the sense of freedom and wonderment she holds to this day.  Dr. Copeland is Certified as a Forest Bathing Therapy Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy (ANFT).
