A traveling celebration that connects us all

In a wheat field in the valley, nestled by the mountains of Sun Valley, we recently got to experience a roving restaurant called Outstanding in the Field. 

It's a dining experience that celebrates everything it takes to feed us: the land, food, farmers, fishermen and vintners that put food and drink on our table. It's all about connecting us to our food. Where it is grown. The hands that grow it. 

This is important to us. To remember everything we eat comes from somewhere. That evening, everything was locally sourced. We are big fans of buying local and supporting area farmers, growers and small businesses. In other words, being conscious consumers whether for food or other purchases. Anna Lappé, RevelEleven speaker, author and activist says it best: "Every time you spend money, you are casting a vote for the kind of world you want."

This experience was just a reminder of that.
