Coming Up this January Inside Chapters

When I read a book, I often notice a familiar pattern: I move too quickly. I absorb the ideas intellectually, but I don’t always pause long enough to embody the words, to let them land in my body, soften my heart, or quietly change the way I live. True transformation requires presence. It asks us to linger, to feel, to listen.

That realization is what inspired me to create our Chapters Book Club + Speakers Series, a space where we don’t just read books, but do the soul work together. A place where growth expands beyond the page and into our lived experience.

Together, we’ve already journeyed deeply. We journaled and reflected through Suleika Jaouad’s luminous The Book of Alchemy. We explored the life-changing women’s health wisdom in The Menopause Moment with Dr. Kelly Casperson. And we softened and simplified our lives with Courtney Carver’s Gentle. Each chapter has offered its own quiet alchemy.

Now, as we step into January, a month of beginnings, I’m thrilled to open the New Year with four profound offerings, starting with an author whose work has impacted millions worldwide: Julia Cameron.

This month, we’ll be diving into The Daily Artist’s Way, Julia Cameron’s newest work and a beautiful companion to her beloved creative classic, The Artist’s Way. This book invites us back to our creativity, intuition, and sense of possibility, one gentle, daily practice at a time.

We’ll be bookending the month with two special conversations led by Margot Cheel, a longtime Artist’s Way Workshop facilitator with over 20 years of experience. Margot’s own journey through The Artist’s Way led her to become an aerial photographer. Yes, truly taking flight.


We
kick-off with Margot this Wednesday, January 7 and come back together at the end of the month on Tuesday, January 27. Both sessions will be at noon PST, but as a benefit to Chapters members, all events are always recorded and available to watch later.

In addition to our book discussions, Chapters also includes thoughtfully curated gatherings with 2-3 experts per month, designed to deepen growth and connection.

January 14 - Rest Without Guilt: Healing the Unconscious Blocks That Hold Us Back  
Join us for a nourishing conversation with
Dr. Jane Tornatore as we explore the unconscious beliefs that shape our relationship with rest and worthiness. Through reflection, discussion, and gentle body-based practices, we’ll uncover the early messages that keep us pushing, and learn new ways to listen inward. You’ll leave with simple, practical tools for easing self-pressure, reconnecting with intuition, and allowing more rest. 

January 28 - Big Trust: Rewire Self-Doubt and Reclaim Your Power
We’re also honored to welcome
Dr. Shadé Zahrai, internationally recognized behavioral strategist and author of Big Trust: Rewire Self-Doubt, Find Your Confidence, and Fuel Success. In this inspiring virtual conversation, Dr. Shadé will reveal the subtle ways self-doubt shows up in our personal and professional lives and share her research-backed framework for transforming it into deep, embodied self-trust.
