Community: Now More Than Ever

Community.

It feels like the most essential thing in the world right now, in this moment, in this lifetime.

And so is self-care.

And Joy. Deep, expansive, life-affirming joy.

And again, community.

There is a quote I keep returning to, one that lives in my bones:

“Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.” — Audre Lorde

This speaks to me so deeply because I am committed, fully and fiercely, to being the most powerful version of myself right now. To showing up. To being a voice. To gathering community and drawing strength from it, together. Because community doesn’t just hold us, it strengthens us.

People have asked me lately what keeps me going when the world feels heavy and uncertain. The answer is simple, and not always easy: I refuse to let outside forces pull me away from the most important work there is - showing up. First for myself, and then for others.

In an article I read recently from Mindless Labs, this stopped me in my tracks:

“When you choose joy, you’re refusing to let a broken system break you. You’re saying no to the cultural programming that insists suffering equals virtue. You’re disrupting the cycle of generational trauma that says good feelings are dangerous, selfish, or unearned. Think about it. A depressed, anxious, depleted person can’t change the world.”

That truth feels undeniable.

So let us choose JOY - intentionally and unapologetically.

Let us choose to live awake, aware, and rooted in our power.

Let us commit to becoming the strongest individuals we know, first for ourselves, so we have the clarity, resilience, and courage to create the change we are here to make. Today. And tomorrow.

How do you want to change the world? What are you doing for yourself today?

I would love to hear. Please share with me at info@reveleleven.com.

To our collective power,
