What are you looking forward to in 2021?

Empowerment. We worked through so much inner and outer turmoil as individuals and as a collective last year. Now we are in a place to continue doing the inner work to bring the changes we seek into our daily reality. I'm really looking forward to growing our sense of community and growing together in a way that honors personal empowerment and our well-being.

What comforts have you found help make you feel grounded in quarantine?

Mother Earth knows her stuff. She seems to know exactly what I need and when I need it. Being among any type of nature has rooted me through the quarantine experience, especially with having two young kiddos in the home. When I'm feeling a lot of anger in my body (or fire as we call it in our family), I go outside to help my emotions flow through me and give my fire to Mother Earth, she knows what to do with it.

Some days I might need to move and get a nature walk in. Yet when my energy is low, I love to simply sit on a wet rock and observe closely the changes around me. New moss. Little rocks. Rain puddles. Bugs under logs.

What have you learned about yourself in the past year?

I felt like this last year revealed a deeper layer for me of being so hard on myself. All that transpired through the year as a collective opened up a can of unprocessed emotions I had stored within me related to self-criticism, self-worth, speaking my truth, and accepting myself wholly and fully.

Do you have a mantra you are living with?

I am enough in this moment. I am enough in this moment. I am enough in this moment.

I say this until I feel it.

This practice has been key for me when I'm starting to rush through anything (I'm done with rushing through life!) or notice myself in self-criticizing mode. I speak on this process a bit more in one of my podcast episodes, too.

How are you juggling business, family, and personal time from home?

I was asking myself this question last night! I did an Animal Totem Tarot card reading for guidance, too. The single card I pulled was the Magician / Fox card that speaks on the skill of listening, knowing that we have everything we need even when it looks like we don't, and honing one's skills. This card speaks to my journey with my intuition and learning to listen to my gut to guide me in balancing my life. So that's what I do! I pause. I listen. What do I need right now? Oh, I need to tell myself I am enough in this moment. And I need to drink water. And acknowledge I've been worrying for 5 minutes. Okay, I'm ready to be present now.

I realize this answer is so intuitive-based versus structured or organized-related. I find that listening to my intuition (plus clearly communicating with my life partner Matt for our daily schedule) helps me dance with the day, practice self-trust, and find a flow that feels best for the whole family.
