Powder Trails & Empowered Tales: Lessons from Winthrop

You can learn a lot about yourself and the power of women in just a few short days, surrounded by breathtaking nature.

Our Winthrop Getaway was about embracing the outdoors, learning something new, being open to new ideas. Here are a few of my takeaways from the weekend, and I encourage you to explore these in your own life.

Give Yourself Time – This is the most important thing we can offer ourselves. It doesn’t have to be a luxury, just committing to YOU time is an extraordinary gift to yourself.

Try Something New – For several women, this was their first time cross country skiing. Embracing a new creative endeavor or a new outside exercise opens your eyes (and body) to new possibilities. It was delightful to see these gals step in and out of their comfort zone and flourish in a new outdoor sport.

Keep Learning – For those of us who have danced on the trails before, it was a reminder to keep on learning. You never master anything. But you can keep learning everything – whether it is new techniques on the trail or on your skis, embracing learning truly is the zest of life.

Embrace Connection – I’m constantly amazed at the connections on our retreats. With eight women, many of whom didn’t know one another before, there was so much sharing – those who had kids, those who didn’t, traveling stories, divorce, relationships, new beginnings, chapters ending, openings. As my grandmother always said, everyone has a story… it’s your job to listen. I love that. In a very short time together, connections were forged and new friendships blossomed, laughs and tears shared, with so much joy and cheers along the way.

Be Open to the Magic of the Universe – With so many stories told over the time together, there were many synchronicities and magical openings. And, of course, with every RevelEleven event, magic always happens. Rain turns to snow. A wood burning fire started while pulling Animal Spirit cards. The retreat starting on the night of the full Wolf Moon… and so many others. When you are open and let your heart guide you, possibilities will open up that you hadn't known were there.

Wishing you all continued inspiration and empowerment 🥰
