Could the Solar Eclipse be a Reminder?
An extraordinary global event happened this week and was visible in parts of the US: the April 8th solar eclipse. The moon passed between Earth and sun, temporarily blocking the sun’s light and casting a shadow on Earth. Friends used words like: Spiritual. Biblical. Amazing. Once in a lifetime. Totality.
I didn’t fly across the country to see it since I live in Seattle, but it still holds major significance to me. We won’t be able to see it again in the US until August 2044… that’s 20 years! Whoa. A celestial moment in time.
In astrology, the eclipse signifies the darkness of the ego and the potential for spiritual rebirth, marking a moment to release past patterns and embrace new perspectives. Eclipses also serve as cosmic reminders that transformation is a natural and necessary part of existence.
Whether you saw a partial or total solar eclipse or didn't get to view the phenomenon, what if we all saw this awe-inspiring event as a reminder? A reminder that we are all living on a small planet in the middle of the universe. A planet we need to take care of. A community of humans that deserve love and peace. What if we saw this as a message that we are all connected on this tiny planet and we might each be a small speck in the vastness of the universe, but are we really that small when we band together to make change and spread love?
What if the eclipse symbolized – in this crazy world that we live in – a reminder. A reminder that peace and love are the answer. What if?
