Motherhood + Business: A Powerful Combination

There are 35 million working mothers in the U.S. For these women, taking care of kids and taking care of business is a juggling act.

Join us on September 17 at 10 a.m. PT for a fireside chat with Christine Michel Carter, a nationally known advocate for working parents and single mothers. Christine has worked on the maternal initiatives of Vice President Kamala Harris and received a Congressional Citation from the U.S. Senate for going “above and beyond in ensuring that Black Moms and Moms of Color have access to important health information for their children and families.”

Christine gets real with RevelEleven on her experiences and observations of motherhood and her thoughts on what self-care looks like for the modern mother. Be prepared for great humor and wisdom, as she draws light to important topics like systematic gaps and opportunities for employers, friends, and family to level up support the needs of mothers and families.

About Christine: Christine Michel Carter has been featured in The New York Times and The Washington Post and is also the bestselling author of children’s book Can Mommy Go To Work? and adult novel MOM AF. In 2015, Christine created the first national mommy and me professional development networking event called Mompreneur and Me, which was featured in Adweek and Entrepreneur⁣. She's worked with the Congressional Caucus on Black Women & Girls, the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on maternal and child care related issues.

Nurture with RevelEleven:

The team at RevelEleven supports the many mothers navigating parenting, work, and life. We have listened to your stories, and respect that along with the joys and rewards, there are also experiences of regret, exhaustion and getting stuck in the dreaded space of comparison.

RevelEleven’s fall Nurture Series is dedicated to celebrating motherhood and caring for some of the most important people in this world … the moms.

Whether we are mothers, daughters, aunts or friends, we can appreciate and revel in the many hats mothers wear so incredibly well. We hope you will join us for this special series, with our guest host, Monica Huntsberry.
