This workshop will show you various methods of approaching and nailing impromptu speaking either in person or remotely such as via Zoom sessions. No more nerves, dry mouth, queasy stomach, light-headedness, and sweaty palms. Learn how to face almost any impromptu situation with confidence and ease so that you will know what to say and do. Have you ever asked yourself any of these questions? If so, this workshop is for you.

  • Do you get anxious when asked to speak, especially on the spot, unprepared, in public settings either in person or remotely such as at work, in meetings, with clients, and at social and other events?

  • Would you like to speak to groups for several minutes without needing to script your words?

  • Would you like to feel comfortable in social situations where small talk or chit chat is needed?

Workshop Agenda:

The workshop will provide you with a framework and instructions for delivery of impromptu speeches. It includes a step by step guide, templates and examples, and topics for you to try under timed conditions to a small breakout group of 3-4 people maximum that includes feedback from each other and the facilitator. You will also receive a self-assessment handout.

  • Build confidence and presentation skills to help you answer and address any topic unprepared for any event, whether in person or remotely (i.e., Zoom), such as in job interviews, question and answer sessions, small talk, conversation with strangers, customer, and client meetings, dinner engagements, and more!

  • How to open and close an impromptu speech.

  • Proven tools to help you anticipate and be ready for any impromptu speech.

  • How to change anxiety into excitement.

  • How to engage your audience.

  • How to handle tough questions, even when you do not know the answers.
